It is certified as Great Place to Work for the year 2017-18 from an Institute of Grate Place to work Job Summary Lab Technician in Analytical operations stram (Quality Unit) contributes to the timely delivery of reference standards to support production and stability program. Ensures proper storage, and distribution of reference standards and contributes to their certification. Performs daily tasks as assigned by the Team Lead. Job Responsibilities Maintains reference standard database and ensure its current and accurate. Dispenses the standards for internal and external requests on a daily basis. Performs checklists for purchased, in-house, certified and recertified standards. Packages /label standards and/or retained samples as required for all customers; update reference standard databases and/or retained sample logbook accordingly, prepare /review associated documents as needed. Conducts annual reference standard inventory checks and updates both Stock Standard Inventory Sheet and reference standard database. Performs physical checks for compendial standards in reference standard inventory and update the quantities, supply reports as required to support ordering and key performance metrics. Performs basic physical and chemical testing of assigned standards by using the most recent approved testing procedures and as per all relevant cGMP requirements. Reports all testing results and deviations encountered during testing. Under guidance of higher level team members, carry out assigned investigation activities. Properly documents analytical data and information. Self-reviews analytical data for accuracy and completeness. Keeps the workplace clean, tidy and safe. Performs other work-related assignments and provide back up support in other areas as requested by the Team Lead. Job Requirements Education Two Year Chemical Technician College diploma or related scientific field or High school diploma (chemistry courses required) with 3 years of industrial or laboratory experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Word, and Excel. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Must be physically able to periodically lift up to 20 Kg. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team. Shipping and receiving experience would be an asset. Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes.
