Overview: Antech Diagnostics, the largest exclusively commercial veterinary diagnostic laboratory in the nation, is in search of a Human Resources Assistant working out of our Fountain Valley office reporting directly to our Human Resources Generalist. As part of the VCA Family, which operates the largest network of freestanding, full-service animal hospitals in the nation, Antech Diagnostics delivers state of the art testing and consulting services to practicing veterinarians. Our diagnostic spectrum of tests in areas of chemistry, pathology, endocrinology, serology, hematology, and microbiology enhance the veterinarians ability to detect, diagnose, evaluate and prevent disease and other conditions affecting animals. Responsibilities: The Human Resources Assistant will provide general HR support to managers and employees, this includes responding to questions related to payroll, benefits, policies, worker-related accidents/injuries. As well as provide and review HR related documents. Process all new hire, termination, and changes in Workday (HRIS/Payroll System). Run DMV checks for transportation staff Run all scheduled reports Maintain personnel files and databases Maintain all I-9 documents and conduct I9 audits Complete all employment verifications Participate on the safety committee Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field. Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including compensation practices, organizational analysis, employee relations, diversity, performance management and federal and state employment laws. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; presentation skills preferred. Outstanding organizational skills; including the ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines as well as multi-task in a fast paced environment.
