Detailed job description PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Prepares 3D models and 2D drawings from references, sketch or based on instructions from an engineer or senior designer; Creates drawing associated material lists; Reviews drawings and material list to check for errors, that they compliant with customer specifications and internal design standards; Ensure that designs can be manufactured, are transportable and operational. As needed, propose design improvement to reduce cost and improve quality; Data entry into the material resource planning system (SAP); Performs drawings revision; Responsible for the execution time of his own work. Participates in schedule updates; Responsible for the quality and precision of his work. Candidate's profile SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES College Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience; Good knowledge of heavy mechanical equipment, welded structures, methods of manufacturing and machining as well as drafting rules and practices; Strong background in 3D design; Autonomous; Teamwork skills; Fluency in French & English; Knowledge of Unigraphics NX8, Teamcenter and SAP an asset.
