We provide health care at an assisted living level, along with nursing care. ABOUT THE POSITION We are looking for experienced Caregivers to join our team at Andrews of Charlottetown. The position requires a professional caregiver that is personable, patient and demonstrates an ability of being calm under a variety of situations. These are part time positions RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with RN’s and LPN’s to ensure the best care of residents. Promote healthy living including physical and mental activity, healthy eating and resident engagement. Provide residents with assistance as needed, including helping with bathing and other personal hygiene activities. Assist residents with certain physical activities such as walking, getting into or out of bed and dressing. Communicate with residents in a friendly and cordial manner and provide companionship while participating in resident activities. Respect the residents’ confidentiality and privacy. Contributes to promoting a positive, friendly, safe, and healthy environment for all staff and patients. QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will possess an excellent work ethic, proven ability to multi-task and communicate with residents in a pleasant manner at all times. Self motivated, career focused professional, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple demands and establishing work priorities and goals.
