What you’ll do for us: The Operations Manager promotes exceptional client satisfaction within the Western Canada Region for the assigned account accounts. It requires the ability to multi-task, provide solutions, be proactive, and the ability to communicate with all clients and Operations while keeping sales in mind. The Operations Manager will be the face of the company and the first point of contact for all clients regarding operations, escalations and work orders. The prime focus of the OM will be to ensure that contractual obligations are met by Alpine and proactively looking for ways to increase performance. The Operations Manager will go “Above the Rest” to ensure all customers are overly satisfied by under-promising and over-delivering. This position is a hands-on position, we are looking for an individual who can roll up their sleeves and get to work! Key Responsibilities: Conducting site visits and to audit service delivery and interface with clients. Follow up with employees and sub-contractors to enforce quality standards. Review Alpine Operation Health and Safety Standards. Hire, train and supervise new employees/sub-contractors. Attend meetings with senior client management on monthly basis or whenever, requested. Effective complaint handling and ensure corrective measures are put in place to ensure similar complaints are avoided or at least dramatically reduced. Effective communication to the supervisors and the team members. Working with clients, staff, suppliers and sub-contractors to coordinate any scheduled and periodic work is being completed. Coordinate equipment repairs, getting a PO from head office, communicating with repair technicians, discussing any cleaner caused problems with them and determining if any charge backs to the cleaners is warranted. Recruit and select sub-contractors using various tools such visiting competition sites, referrals from current employees, company sub-contractors, and advertising. Meet with potential sub-contractors and ensure they understand the nature of the work, the contract, and can uphold the standards expected by client and the company. On site meet with the contractor to walk through the site, reviewing the relevant scope of work, proper use of equipment, chemicals, security and introduction to client site management. Ensure random site visits and inspections are being conducted to ensure the sub-contractors are fulfilling the scope of work. Bring any issues discovered through these visits and audits are brought to the attention of the sub on the same day and schedule appropriate timely follow up and resolution of the issues. Coordinate any extra work requested by the client with the sub-contractor. Ensure any documentation including that which required by the client and that the sub-contractor is completed correctly and submitted within days of the work being completed. If required, issue work order or purchase order before any work is started Various tasks requested by the Director - Operations Requirements: Ability to problem-solve – “think quick / on the spot” Quality Assurance Experience (an asset) Must be self-confident, outgoing and able to inspire and manage situations Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and professional Advance understanding of customer service, sales and relationship management Excellent team player High level of technical and team leadership skills Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines Self- motivated, passionate, empathetic, approachable Working Conditions: The Operational Manager will require flexibility in shift times, as interaction with night cleaning crew will also be required. Facilities are secured, but special access codes and/or security protocols may need to be observed. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Experience: Operations management: 3 years (Preferred)
