Allied Telesis (Australia) looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer with experience in design and implementaion of IT networks. It is a national role based in Melbourne, Australia. The ability to travel around Australia will be required, and occasionally some international travel for training. Allied Telesis is a global vendor of IT networking hardware including switching, routing, wireless & security solutions, and software management platforms to optimise, protect and maintain the networks. Established in 1987, Allied Telesis currently has global annual revenue of over $500M USD with head offices in Japan and California, and a Research & Development facility in New Zealand. Engineers familiar with Cisco IOS Command Line will be able to very quickly adopt the Allied Telesis Command Line of our enterprise products, as Allied Telesis uses a near identical interface and commands. We are part of a large organisation but operate as a small team in Australia, and have a strong culture of helping each other to achieve our common goal. The Pre-Sales Engineer will work alongside the sales team in a joint effort. Key responsibilities for the Pre-Sales Engineer will include network design and consultation to customer organisations, IT integrators and Allied Telesis distributors. The ability to look "outside the square" and identify more areas of opportunity where Allied Telesis can deliver and streamline solutions is desired. Also preferred is confidence in public speaking and presenting to an audience. Our office is located on St. Kilda Rd with easy access to trams and nearby Flinders Street and South Yarra train stations. Job Type: Full-time
