Alliance Automation has an immediate opening for a Computer Programmer to maintain internal software programs for our growing business in Van Wert, Ohio. The Computer Programmer’s duties will include managing systems performance, providing tech support, reviewing and updating existing programs, identifying and fixing defects, supporting data architecture, generating reports, developing in-house software, and mitigating potential risk. The ideal candidate is a hard-working individual that has a creative but analytical mindset. Job Description: Collaborate with our team to determine programming objectives Code and test programming for in-house software programs Create, use, and run queries with VBA code, mainly in Excel, but possibly VB.Net in the future Complete database development using T-SQL. Update and improve or expand existing programs Troubleshoot system errors. Build and modify complex reports Learn existing software/programs/processes throughout the company Qualifications/Skills: Able to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to interface with internal customers in a professional manner Valid state motor vehicle operator's license Must be a self-starter, work well with others, and have a positive attitude Must be a creative thinker, results-oriented focused, and attentive to detail and accuracy Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities Education and Experience Requirements: Our preference is that candidates have at least 2- 4 years of experience Related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Proficient in Microsoft Excel Experience with VBA and T-SQL Experience in C#/VB.Net a plus.
