About the Company Established in 2002, Allen Custom Drills designs and manufactures high quality air seeder drills for clients around New Zealand and Australia. The company prides itself on manufacturing easily modified and customised drills that provide, strength, reliability and efficiency for its customers. About the Role We are looking for someone with a great attitude who wants to work in a rewarding environment. Working in a small and close-nit production team, the role is focused on welding and fabrication of seed bins, chassis, axles and other components from plate and mild steel. Every drill is produced to a custom order and you will be involved with all aspects of the build process before assembly. Key skills and experience: MIG welding experience Heavy fabrication experience Ability to read CAD designs Forklift experience (OSH preferred but not essential) Good health & safety knowledge We operate a structured training programme and you can expect ongoing support in this area. About You Attitude is as important as experience in this role. We get the job done, in full and on time but we have fun on the way and the atmosphere isn’t too formal. You should have: A can-do, positive attitude Good communication skills and a team focus An ability to problem solve An ability to work to deadlines A starting rate of $28 per hour is on offer (with a review at 3 months) and you will receive support to upskill, get certified and train. Relocation assistance may be available. All PPE is provided. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $58,000.00 to $59,000.00 /year Experience: MIG welding: 1 year (Preferred) fabricating from drawings: 1 year (Preferred) Licence: OSH (Preferred) Work Eligibility: No work eligibility is required, I am willing to sponsor the right candidate (e.g. visa) (Preferred)
