Quality Officer About the Company Ahrens is a fourth-generation South Australian family-owned business. About the Role As the quality control officer you will be responsible for the development of quality management systems and processes across our business. You will provide quality management advice relevant to an engineering and construction environment. This role will suit an experienced and forward-thinking person that prides themselves on being analytical and efficient in managing and reviewing processes and procedures, while driving continuous improvement in line with the company’s strategic goals and business plans. Duties Work with employees and the management team to embed the policies and procedures associated with Quality to ensure that we deliver high quality outcomes for our clients and customers. Conduct regular audits of current systems and procedures to ensure efficient maintenance of relevant certifications with a continual improvement focus. Work across the Ahrens Group to achieve and maintain relevant AS/ISO certifications including but not limited to ISO9001, AS45001, ISO14001. Audit all systems and procedures within the Ahrens Group. Improve Quality processes to achieve best for business outcomes, including improved customer satisfaction, production efficiencies and cost saving opportunities. Successfully close out audit actions, opportunities for improvement and areas of concern. Contribute to tenders and work winning activities relevant to Quality management. Travel requirements interstate may be required. Skills & Experience Demonstrated experience in Quality Management General knowledge of quality systems, procedures, and document control principles. Good understanding of AS/ISO certifications, systems and procedures. Effective written and oral communication skills, Proven experience negotiating, developing and managing cooperative relationships, and successfully resolving issues through constructive communication. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and production-related software. Current drivers licence. Desirable Criteria Employment experience within the engineering and/or construction industry. Internal / Lead Auditor training. General knowledge of business and management principles involved in the coordination of people and resources.
