You want to contribute to make this world a bit smarter through IoT and networking technologies? Then this is exactly the right position for you. Working as a Field Application Engineer for our IoT end-to-end solution WISE-PaaS, you will support our customers and partners throughout Europe and you will represent Advantech´s competence for innovative IoT-solutions and products. Your Responsibility New technologies and innovation in the Cloud and IoT field also create new challenges. Our guiding principle is not just to offer solutions, but to also provide best-in-class service. It is your job to actively support the implementation of our solutions in coordination with our sales team, product management and development. Working as an IoT Platform Field Application Engineer you will work closely with our FAE- and development teams and you are the specialist when it comes to IoT and WISE-PaaS. Your job is to work directly with our partners and customers, supporting them through your hands-on-mentality and proactive actions for a maximized smooth implementation. You identify potential as well as urgent problems on your own and find good balance between short-term workaround and permanent fix. The goal is continuous improvement of our products and services. You conduct practical trainings to share your knowledge and experience about new technologies with your colleagues and teams. Part of this is to create technical instructions like application notes or whitepapers. You support the business development and sales teams in planning and conducting partner trainings or customer solution days. You present yourself as a reliable contact person to customers and partners and you represent Advantech´s expertise, products and solutions. Qualifications Years of Experience: 3 Educational Level: Bachelor Details: Who Are You? You have solid knowledge in IoT and/or cloud technologies and a university degree in software development, computer science or electrical engineering, or you collected equivalent knowledge in a comparable IT-position. With a minimum of two years professional experience in network administration, software development, software-deployment or comparable IT-position, you have solid knowledge about networks, cloud and visualization. You are familiar with IoT specific protocols such as MQTT or IoT specific wired and wireless interfaces. Linux user skills and the creation of shell-scripts are no problem for you. We welcome any experience in firmware development or technical support. Besides the desired hard skills, you have the required set of soft skills. You have good social skills and good customer awareness, coupled with an ability to analyze, summarize and communicate conditions efficiently. You are goal oriented and customer satisfaction is something you hold in very high regard while keeping the business objectives in mind. You take initiative and are a team player at the same time. You enjoy working in a distributed, multicultural environment and you have the willingness and ability to travel throughout Europe (frequently) and overseas (sporadic).
