Primary Purpose: The role of the Financial Analyst is to ensure that accurate product costs are established and reported within the organization. Knowledge of product costing concepts and the standard cost process is critical. This individual must be able to review product costs and manufacturing process assumptions for reasonableness. The analyst must to be able to work closely with the manufacturing plants to ensure accurate costs are utilized in monthly reporting. The analyst must be able to interface with other departments including IT and Purchasing on a regular basis to ensure integrity of the cost data within the MfgPro and SAP systems Primary Duties: Responsible for the integrity of current and standard costs for assigned plants. Actively assist plant controllers with resolving inventory costing and intercompany pricing issues. Process cost changes on behalf of the manufacturing plants. Audit cost data within MfgPro and SAP systems to ensure they are in sync. Review plant raw material finished good and material variance costs for reasonableness. Initiate corrective actions for out-of-sync costs, zero costs and other costing issues. Coordinate corrective actions with other departments as required. Provide plant finance teams with non-sales inventory movement data to support their monthly inventory accrual adjustments. Support the annual revaluation (roll-up) of standard costs and inventory values as required. Provide training to plant and finance staff members on costing procedures, processes and issues. Support the set-up of new plants and divisions on the MfgPro/SAP systems as required. Actively contribute to departmental initiatives/process improvements to enhance the overall department’s effectiveness Job Specifications: Four Year College Degree (Finance, Business, or Engineering desired) 3 experience as a Financial analyst or cost accountant. Experience in the Automotive Industry, seating, interiors, or electronics a plus. Foreign language skills a plus. Working knowledge of QAD and/or SAP required. Good computer skills, i.e., MS Office, especially Excel. Proven interpersonal and teamwork skills. PRIMARY LOCATION Central Tech Unit Plymouth MI
