NATURE & SCOPE OF WORK: Reporting to and under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and evaluating the overall Human Resources concerns, of Chief & Council, staff of ALIB, and Adams Lake Development Corporation (ALDC) to implement protection and utilization plans for all. POSITION TASKS: Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Adams Lake Indian Band policies and procedures Position tasks cover four (4) main areas: Policy and Program Development, Training and Development, Employee Relations and Recruitment, Selection and Evaluation Other related duties as required (A copy of the full job description available upon request) KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Strong administrative/technical skills and knowledge of human resources programs and services Experience in a First Nations environment, including experience with funding agencies, culture and traditions would be an asset Excellent diplomacy, tact and interpersonal skills in dealing with a variety of people and information Ability to work in a team orientated environment and with limited supervision Good judgement and problem-solving skills must be exercised at all times Continuous learning and a willingness to attend required upgrading and training Other Requirements Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License (copy required) Reliable transportation with valid insurance Current and acceptable Criminal Record Check (original) Possess strong computer skills using MS Word, Excel and ARMS database (asset), DocStar Program (an asset) and various video conferencing programs (an asset) Minimum of 2-3 years directly related experience Human Resource Professional Certification University degree in Human Resources is preferable Deadline for applications: FEBRUARY 28, 2020, 4:00 p.m. Only those short listed will be notified for interviews.
