Acorn Training is a leading provider of Apprenticeship training and workplace skills. Due to contract growth and expansion, we are delighted to advertise adult health and social care trainer and assessor positions. You will have considerable experience working within either a residential, domiciliary, learning difficulty care background and have established the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to make a significant impact on an individuals’ learning. You will ideally have worked in health and social care for a minimum of 3 years as a team leader or senior care worker, preferably, you will have worked as a registered manager or deputy manager. We are actively recruiting home based trainers and assessors throughout the North West, East and West Midlands to support our ambitious plans and expansion. A DBS and access to a car available for business use is required. You will hold a minimum of level 3 NVQ in health and social care and preferably a higher level 4 or 5 qualification in leadership and management in health and social care. A training qualification is also required including an assessment of workplace skills qualification, such as D32 and D33, A1 or TAQA 3. You will also hold an equivalent D32, D33, A1 or TAQA 3 qualification and preferably a level 3 or above teaching and learning qualification. A TAQA 4 qualification is also advantageous. The ability to deliver functional skills at level 2 in English and mathematics is advantageous. In return, Acorn Training offers a very competitive salary based on skills and experience.
