Who are we? A pioneer of organic home delivery, Abel & Cole is a brand famous for seasonal organic fruit & veg. Since 1988 we’ve built close relationships with other brilliant organic pioneers in order to deliver a wide range of fantastic organic food to people’s homes across much of England. We represent a refreshing alternative to supermarket shopping, but without being worthy or preachy. No air freight, no silly packaging, no nasty chemicals – just great food produced by people who really love what they do. We deliver to around 40,000 households and we employ nearly 600 great people. Role Summary Reporting to our Warehouse Supervisor within our Andover Warehouse and Packing Operation it will be your responsibility to either directly or indirectly pick, pack and despatch products to Abel & Cole customers. To achieve this we ask all employees to behave responsibly and work alongside other team members to achieve stock control, health and safety, product quality and presentation targets with the aim of delighting our customers. For our part, we don’t believe in micromanagement, we believe in empowering our employees to achieve both their personal and our business goals with genuine enthusiasm. Here’s what you’ll be getting up to:  Packing and picking in the timely manner according to standards set by the team  Pallet, tray and produce movement throughout the warehouse as needed  Organization of packing area  Cleaning and maintaining equipment, daily checks and forms  Adherence to all Abel & Cole health and safety policies and practices at all times.  Maintaining open and regular communication with Team Leaders and Supervisors  Making sure produce is kept fresh  Making sure correct stock rotation is followed Skills, experience and requirements  A confident and effective communicator  Strong organisational skills  Professional, honest and dependable  Proven ability to multi-task when needed  Flexibility to work across other departments within the warehouse  Ability to commute to our Andover location  Ability to lift up to 25kg as required What we offer  Sunday to Thursday, various shifts available – 37.5 per week + O/T on occasion.  28 days inclusive of bank holidays running from the 1st May to 30th April.  A free box of fruit and veg every week (It’s pretty delicious!) alongside company discount of up to 35%.  Free Tea and Coffee.  On-site Gym.  Cycle to Work Scheme.  Anniversary gifts.  EBT Scheme.
