The Production Manager, Upper Stage Integration will lead assembly of the upper stage of our rockets and deliver it to the test and launch teams ready for turn-key operation. You will lead a team of technicians to efficiently assemble all the individual components and systems into a single launch vehicle. You will: Operate state-of-the art manufacturing equipment, use precision fixturing / inspection tools, precision hand assembly tools, and handling of sensitive propulsion and electronic assemblies. Lead by example and support turning wrenches to bring our rockets to life. Improve fabrication and assembly processes along with raising awareness of process shortfalls by working closely with manufacturing and integration engineers, rocket designers, and other team members. Scale the team, workspace and factory layout as we increase production rates toward a rocket per day Be responsible for every upper stage that leaves the factory on its way to space Can you do this job? 8+ years of leadership experience in mechanical aerospace, military, or automotive environments - early production / R&D a plus Demonstrated experience with high pressure thermal / fluid systems involving valves, tanks, regulators, high speed instrumentation Expert assembly skills, ability to read and interpret assembly drawings Experience with fabrication and assembly tools Proficient with Windows and browser-based email and collaboration tools Comfort working in a fast-paced, self-driven entrepreneurial workplace Desired Multipliers Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical field Experienced in high volume manufacturing environment Experience with checkout & test of integrated systems Previous experience with high performance metallic structures Prior or current FAA A&P mechanic certification Proficient in CAD / PDM / PLM systems Salary and Benefits We're competitive in compensation and offer equity as part of the package.
