Allegiant Stadium Allegiant Stadium, located in Las Vegas, NV, will be the future home of the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League and the UNLV Rebels of the NCAA Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision. The 65,000 seat, 1.75 million square foot, state of the art domed stadium will also host many world-class sporting and entertainment events, including the 2020 and 2021 Pac-12 Football Championship, and will serve as the annual site of the Las Vegas Bowl. The stadium will also host large trade and corporate shows, public gatherings, private events, and a robust tour program. Job Summary: The Director of Security is responsible for managing, maintaining and improving all operations and functions of the Security department at Allegiant Stadium, including but not limited to, anti-terrorism, risk management, loss prevention, safety, training, investigations and intelligence, budgeting, emergency preparedness, disaster prevention, and personnel management. Essential Functions: Effectively secure and maintain the safety of all guests, employees, clients, performers, and assets at Allegiant Stadium by enforcing and regulating venue security policies and procedures through the Security department. Provide leadership of security operations including vulnerability mitigation, incident response, and risk assessments. Ensure all building security systems are operating as necessary during event and non-event periods. Security systems include, but are not limited to: CCTV cameras and access control; all physical security equipment (magnetometers, hand-wands, bollards, etc.). Develop, coordinate, and implement policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard the company. Serve as escalation point for client/employee inquiries, concerns, and/or complaints. Prevent future issues by examining all past situations and maintaining a pro-active thought process. Prepare and maintain expenses within approved annual department budget. Research, review, and recommend equipment, materials, and supplies required for the department. Establish measures, metrics, thresholds, and targets to drive performance in alignment with security and other business strategies. Responsible for championing awareness, influencing compliance with security policies, and providing solutions for business specific security issues. Create, foster, maintain, and improve Allegiant Stadium's reputation for excellence in venue security. Gain certification/accreditation in venue security and attend conferences/trade shows to ensure the stadium is always a leader in new technologies, procedures, and processes. Develop, create and implement an accepted and sustainable security culture. Address employee conduct and performance issues. Oversee the coordination of periodic emergency evacuation drills and exercises. Confer with Event Security management and building managers to develop/improve current emergency procedures and edit/update Emergency Procedures Manuals annually. Establish and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with clients and tenants, as well as with local, state and federal authorities. Required Qualifications: A minimum education level of: BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred). A minimum of 7-10 years of related work experience. At least 7 years of experience handling investigations, personnel matters, and case management. Experience handling sensitive information and intelligence. Experience with executive protection. Thorough knowledge of CCTV, fire alarm systems, computerized access control systems, and wireless radio communication. Experience with or knowledge of security-related legislation and regulation. Ability to work with the public effectively, tactfully and safely. Ability to effectively manage, motivate and lead members of the security team. Ability to effectively manage crises and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work long, irregular hours for an extended period of time, dictated by events and facility schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays. Preferred Qualifications (if applicable): Practical knowledge of law enforcement procedures, technical writing, civil law, criminal law, security procedures, investigative procedures, training programs and personnel management. Ability to understand business issues and processes and to articulate the business context of projects/processes. Ability to cultivate and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external constituencies and building tenants. Active participation on security-related industry groups and advisory boards. Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
