Job Title - Field Engineer Location - South London Mainly home based, must attend an ASK4 office when required for training and meetings. Reporting to - Installation Manager Job Purpose Working within the Engineering department to carry out installs, repairs and maintenance on ASK4 Group sites, in a timely fashion and to quality and technical standards as defined by the company. Engineering responsibility for a specific region, owning installation, repair, maintenance and quality assurance tasks for all ASK4 sites with the region. Responsibilities of the job New Projects Attend site based project meetings with ASK4 Project Manager / Project Engineer, contractors and clients as required to assist with project management and scheduling Carry out pre-install site surveys and reports Assist with and prepare installation documentation, including risk assessments and method statements, workpacks and snagging lists Installations Lead and support sub contracted installation teams during installation of WiFi network, data network and telecommunications equipment Carrying out testing and commissioning of equipment and services Carry out on-site quality assurance checks of ASK4 and sub contacted installation teams Maintenance Maintaining WiFi network, data network and telecommunications equipment at ASK4 site around the allocated region, or other regions when the need arises Responding to faults and/or installs as required and directed by the Field Operations Coordinator Join an 'on call' rota for emergency maintenance of sites. Liaising with other departments (including but not limited to Support and NOC) whilst carrying out work visits. Communication and Documentation Keeping clear lines of communication, written and oral, with all stake holders Sharing information and completion documentation in full General Complete all necessary documentation in line with the Provisioning standards Maintaining own minimum stock and reporting back on equipment used and required. Collecting equipment for installations and ensuring subcontractors have equipment Carry out basic DIY tasks Ensuring stock procedures are followed including but not limited to signing out and returning of stock Liaising with the Stock department for consumables and stock replenishment Report any health and safety breaches or concerns in order to assist the company in preventing future accidents/incidents. Adherence to ASK4's policies and procedures, including, but not limited to all the relevant Information Security and Health and Safety policies and procedures. Completing all necessary Health and Safety documentation and vehicular documentation as set by the Health and Safety team. This job description is not exhaustive and other tasks will be required to meet the needs of the business Guidance and authority Reports directly to the Installation Manager. Takes guidance and communicates with the Project Engineers and Project Managers. Communication and Documentation Ensuring timely communication with all stakeholders and accurate documentation Maintenance Ensuring an accurate fix, first time every time and making the experience satisfying for the customer. Adherence to ASK4's policies and procedures, including, but not limited to all the relevant Health and Safety and Information Security policies and procedures.
