The Mechanical Designer is responsible for the development and improvement of computer-generated designs, layouts, models, and other schematics including: Generates and revises 2-D and 3-D schematics for mechanical equipment and components using AutoCad and Autodesk Inventor design software. Analyzes as-built fabrication drawings to determine if drawing revisions are warranted, and completes all changes in a timely fashion. Follows and processes quality control procedures including CN's NCR's and ASME related tasks. Creates Bill of Material on design drawings and in company's OMS data base. Coordinates with and assists various departments to facilitate timely, cost-efficient, and accurate design and fabrication of productions. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Position requires proficient use of 2-D and 3-D design software. Requires technical degree or certificate or a minimum of one-year work experience in a related field.
