Roles & Responsibilities Key accountabilities: Manage and carry out day-to-day and period-end accounting functions including accounting entries, accounts payable, accounts receivables, billings and revenue accounting Liaise with trading partners to ensure timely submission for reporting Inventory tracking and valuation Resolve accounting issues Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliation and inter-company confirmations Perform monthly close process, reconcile, analysis accounts and generate group local financial reporting package by given tight time line Prepare monthly profit and loss statement by product and summarise current financial status Perform monthly bank reconciliations, fixed assets and IFRS16 leases register updates Prepare government surveys and other ad hoc duties. Well verse in GST returns and GTP reports is a plus. Ability to read and understand sales and purchase contracts and apply appropriate accounting treatment Provide cover for other team members Ensure all deadlines and schedules are met Recommend financial actions by analysing accounting options Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing accounts information Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations Assist in internal and external audit matters of the company. Prepare monthly withholding tax returns Support month-end and year-end close process Professional experience: Minimum 3 years’ of prior Accounting or Finance experience Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles GAAP Proficient in MS Excel/SAP is a plus Good team player with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team Good GST knowledge is a plus Working knowledge of incoterms is an advantage Work closely with internal parties like operations, middle office, traders and external parties like auditors and various government authorities Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines Able to utilize independent judgment in establishing the accuracy and reasonableness of financial information
