Smith Corp. is made up of our businesses in Europe, UK, Turkey, Middle East, Africa, India, ASEAN nations, and Korea. This position will be based in Hong Kong, reporting to the President of our International business unit. Primary Function The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in the management and growth of the International unit’s country entities. Responsibilities Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs or metrics) for each country entity based on the business objectives in that country. Analyze financial and business performance data for each country, produce reports and update dashboards for management review. Identify improvement opportunities using KPIs and performance trends and highlight the same to senior management. Coordinate and monitor initiatives and projects aiming to improve agreed KPIs. Help with defining the strategy in each country and develop strategic initiatives with country management and monitor progress of those initiatives with reports and action lists. Help with developing growth plans for each country. Develop growth initiatives with country management and monitor progress with reports and action lists. Prepare business plans and business cases (sales plans, margin and P&L forecasts, etc.) for growth projects, M&A projects, etc., for review and approval by senior management. Help to identify and install suitable ERP and other software systems for easy monitoring of KPIs and business performance metrics and trends. Coordinate monthly financial reporting and forecasting for country entities and highlight performance issues and risks. Qualifications Must have a minimum of 10 years of related work experience, with significant time spent with businesses that manufacture and market products to consumers. Must have at least 5 years of business analysis experience. A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or another related discipline. An MBA will be considered favorably. Experience in a manufacturing business is highly desirable. Expert-level skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Deep working knowledge of financial and accounting systems Positive and pleasant personality that fosters close collaboration with teams in various Asian and European countries. Awareness and an ability to work with a diversity of cultures is a must. Ability and willingness to travel to the countries in the International unit.
