AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a retired/ former US Army AH-64E Apache Maintenance Test Flight Examiner to provide advice, training, and assistance to the Royal Saudi Land Forces Aviation Command (RSLFAC) to establish and support an Aviation Training Institute. The successful candidate will serve as the Senior AH-64E Apache Maintenance Test Flight Advisor to the US Army Technical Assistance Fielding Team (TAFT) in support of the RSLFAC Training Institute. Work Location: Saudi Arabia This Training Team is being provided to the RSLFAC to assist in establishing an Aviation Flight and Maintenance Training program and is being provided as part of a US Army Security Assistance Training Program that directly supports US Foreign Policy and the execution of Department of Defense Security Cooperation Plans and Programs. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop a sustainable Maintenance Test Pilot and Maintainer Training Curriculum Serves as a TAFT AH-64E Maintenance Advisor Conducts flight and academic training and evaluation of the RSLFAC Army Maintenance Test Pilots Conducts maintenance operational checks, ground run-ups, check flights, and maintenance test flights as required Supports maintenance operations and training by attending production/quality control meetings Advises the RSLFAC on AH-64E maintenance training and serves as mentor Other duties as assigned by the Program/Project Manager For over thirteen years, AMERICAN SYSTEMS has supported the delivery of training services to foreign military personnel in support of US foreign assistance programs. Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Graduate of the US Army Warrant Officer Senior Course Must be previously qualified as a US Army AH-64E (Apache) Maintenance Test Flight Examiner (ME) Must have a minimum of 1500 total rotary wing flight experience Must have a minimum of 300 AH-64D/E Maintenance Test Pilot flight hours Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Maintenance Test Pilot Prior experience developing military instructional material Additional Desired Background/Experience: Previous Security Assistance Team (OCONUS) Foreign Military Training) experience. Prior assignment to USAACE. Prior experience working with and training foreign military personnel. Prior experience working with foreign military personnel in the region. Other Requirements: Must be medically and physically fit to deploy and perform their TAFT duties. Must be able to provide a doctor’s certification letter stating medically and emotionally fit for deployment and performance under potentially austere, physically demanding, and stressful working conditions. Pilots and flying crew members must meet and maintain FAA medical requirements for flight. Must be knowledgeable in the applicable aviation maintenance subject areas, capable of conducting effective training, and present a professional appearance. Ability to climb, balance, and work on confined/small elevated helicopter platforms. Completion of FAA Class II Medical Evaluation/Physical Exam within the last 12-months. Not possess any chronic physical conditions that would prevent performance of duties in a semi-austere, tropical environment with limited access to medical care. Ability to present proof of negative HIV test within 90 days of traveling overseas Must possess a current US Tourist (Blue) Passport. (Passport must not expire within 12-months of being hired) Must be drug-free with ability to successfully pass a drug screening test.
