About Our Client Our client is an established real estate, property and construction company that has continued to grow to be a niche player in their field. They are highly regarded and recognised for their innovation in design and environmental quality and sustainability. Being a mid-sized platform, they continue to expand their portfolio of existing and new projects both in HK and overseas. As a result they are now seeking a high calibre Financial Controller to join the management team and lead the group for all financial activities. Key Responsibilities Reporting directly to the COO and the Executive Management Team, you will lead a small team to deliver the following: Manage all the day to day financial matters for the business, delivering a full spectrum of controllership duties Lead, coach and develop the team to upskill and integrate further into the business Build and maintain relationship with bankers to negotiate necessary banking facilities for projects Manage treasury and cash flow for ongoing projects, advise on loan to equity ratio and the financing for future investments Look at the legal structure for all group entities and advise on the consolidation and restructuring to maximise tax opportunities Be the key point of contact for all third party professionals for tax and audit purposes Continually look to drive improvements to reporting, processes and procedures Job Requirements Suitable candidates are likely to be: Qualified Accountants with a CPA/ACA or equivalent degree Big 4 trained and have 8-10 years commercial experience in the real estate or property development industry sector Proven experience in leading the full financial controllership function for the group Strong team management and leadership skills to coach and develop the team Comfortable working in a broad finance role where you can roll up your sleeves and contribute in all areas Be technically strong to work with the management team and advise on accounting treatments and tax implications Strong team player, versatile and flexible to work in a growth company This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative environment and work with young, passionate and committed professionals.
