Job Title: Regional Manager, Transportation Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Transportation, the Regional Manager will be responsible for successfully leading the Southern California Transportation team. Team members include local Driver Supervisors and Drivers. This position works with Field Managers, Drivers, and multiple department managers to support field operations in providing exceptional service to our customers. Requirements and Responsibilities: Serves as a primary or alternate contact for all Southern California Transportation Management departments of USPS facilities serviced by AJR Trucking Ensures that managers and drivers are trained and operationally effective Makes hiring decisions, manages performance, provides coaching, and issues discipline Ensures payroll is turned in on time and accurately on a weekly basis Manages driver scheduling so that resources are used most effectively, and Contract Service Level requirements are met Utilizes labor and equipment resources in most cost-effective manner Works closely with Safety and HR departments to coordinate training and ensure compliance in Region Responsible for Service Level performance on assigned USPS contracts Other duties as assigned by Director of Transportation and/or VP of Operations Competencies: Strong management skills with demonstrated ability to lead Proficient problem solver, independent and adaptive to a fast-paced business environment Capable in use of computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, email, etc.) Fluent in Spanish (required) 1-3 years of Management experience (preferred) Transportation Industry experience (preferred)
