AFIMAC Canada is seeking security officers for upcoming assignments within the greater Toronto and Hamilton/Niagara areas. Hotel accommodations are provided if travel to the job is required. (Please review the entire ad before applying to this job posting) To be eligible to work for AFIMAC you must be able to meet the following criteria: Able to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time Ability to work 12 hours per day and up to 60 hours per week Able to read, write and speak English effectively Be a Canadian resident and legally allowed to work within Canada Punctual and reliable at all times Possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License Be well groomed Ability to work independently as well as within a team The ideal candidate will have previous experience with the following: Corporate event security Checking ID/Bag Search Responding to emergencies and disturbances Incident report writing Crowd control Training/Certification Requirements Current First Aid/CPR certification Ability to successfully obtain Smart Serve certification Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario What we offer: $18.00 per hour Ability to grown within our organization Overtime available Contract Durations for each assignment typically run between 1-120 days Job Types: Part-time, Contract Salary: $18.00 /hour Experience: security: 1 year (Required) Education: Secondary School (Required) Licence: security (Required) First Aid/CPR (Required) Smart Serve (Preferred)
