To enforce our Service Department at our ITALIAN facility, we are currently looking for a Service Engineer that is willing to contribute in the growth of our service business. Your development program: ADB SAFEGATE runs a 50 months program for people starting in the Service & Asset Management department to develop – those capable and interested – from a junior service engineer to a senior service engineer including trainings on all type of airport products but also on soft-skills as well as methods competence. Development into a service team lead / office lead / contract lead at one of our international premises will strongly be supported as well as horizontal developments within ADB SAFEGATE. Role After your participation in an internal training curriculum on the ADBSAFEGATE product portfolio, on market specific standards and on safety rules, you will join the ADB SAFEGATE Service & Asset Management Department You will contribute to the installation, initial testing, operation, preventive maintenance support, repair and modification of ADB SAFEGATE-supplied equipment and systems at airports in Western Europe and beyond. You will do troubleshooting i.e in depth analysis of issues or incidents which are affecting the product performance. In follow-up he/she communicates pro-actively with the customers, informing them on the status and any results of issues encountered. You contribute to the execute and follow-up of our maintenance contracts (SLAs) with Airports. In that context you participate in a 24/7 set-up support program to ensure customers to reports incidents were regionally applicable You will work together with the internal departments of ADB SAFEGATE to guarantee client satisfaction. Vice versa providing expert support internally to incident management, regional sales desks or when required within a project management environment (site surveys, technical customer queries) You provide internal and external product training on the ADB SAFEGATE equipment and standards, and train relevant airport stakeholders how to maintain and calibrate complex equipment. As airports are the main locations to work he/she will be travelling up to 50% of the time (working out of office or abroad for periods of max. 3 weeks) His/her Primary Contacts Internal & External Are Main contacts: Service Managers & Coordinators (regional/area), Site & Project Managers, Customer Service Representative (CSR) Other ADB Safegate Departments: Product Managers/Specialists, R&D Local ADB Safegate Agents, Distributors or Consultants Customer Interfaces (Civil Aviation Authorities) Main Contractors of Airport Installations, Complementary Airport Equipment or Service Suppliers Skills/Qualification: Commercial sensitivity with customer focus Able to work in a changing multicultural environment. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Strong planning and organizational skills Stress resistant personality who feels at his best in a challenging environment Result and quality oriented with an eye for detail Independent and driven “self-propelling” individual Experience Hands-on experience on Industrial, Electronics or ICT systems and networks Good knowledge of automation systems, Field Bus Technology Good knowledge of Network and Communication Technology using TCP/IP, Fiber Optic networks and other communication media. Knowledge of Aviation Rules and regulations: ICAO, EASA & FAA is an advantage Education Bachelor in Engineering (Electromechanics/Electronics, IT, Communication). A Master Degree is preferred Equivalent of the above by experience IT-Skills ADB SAFEGATE as a broad product portfolio which requires skills in different technologies. You might have different ones than stated below which are still relevant. Please state them in your application Excellent knowledge of MS office tools (MS Project, MS office,.. .) Good knowledge of Industrial automation platforms Win CC or similar, C-, VBA, C++, … are nice to have Languages Multi-language, international & intercultural experience. Language know-how: English (mandatory), Italian,…, any other language is an asset.
