Non-ongoing, Full time Canberra/Melbourne/Sydney EL 1 - Min $99,425 Max $112,122 plus 15.4% superannuation The eSafety Commissioner’s (eSafety) purpose is to help safeguard Australians at risk from online harms and to promote safer, more positive online experiences. eSafety leads and co-ordinates the online safety efforts across Commonwealth departments, authorities and agencies and engages with key online safety stakeholders. It has a broad remit which includes administering complaint schemes and the creation of audience-specific content and programs to help educate all Australians about online safety. The eSafety Commissioner is an independent statutory office supported by staff from the Australian Communications and Media Authority. The Education Strategy team provides leadership and strategic advice to promote best practice online safety education in sectors including schools and tertiary and vocational institutions, and in the wider community. As Education Strategy Advisor you will provide key input into the strategic direction of online safety education, with responsibility for identifying and promoting best practice and developing quality online safety education guidance, programs and advice. You will provide input into policy processes and agenda setting in the education space and be involved in a project to identify elements needed for online safety behaviour change. You will also be involved in developing high quality guidance and education resources for a range of audiences, including diverse and vulnerable cohorts. An understanding and appreciation of online harms and vulnerabilities will be required. You will have strong analytical and writing skills, project management and policy experience and a strong understanding of the education sector (either at the practitioner or policy level). You will need to be skilled at building relationships and be proactive and agile in your approach to delivering positive outcomes for eSafety’s policy work and stakeholders.
