We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and dependable Product Engineering Intern for our Kettering, OH location. As our intern, you will have the opportunity to develop invaluable learning experiences, knowledge and skills to help set the foundation for your future career. No prior experience is required; however, we do look for candidates who have proven track records of success in balancing school/academics, employment, and extracurricular activities. REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION Current college student entering junior or senior year, pursuing a technical degree (Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering preferred). Ability to commit to a one-year internship, working full-time (40 hours) during the summer and part time (10-15 hours) during the school year Strong computer skills with emphasis on Excel (prefer someone who is confident in creating and using macros, vlookups, etc) Experience using databases such as Lotus Notes, File Maker Pro or SAP Ability to organize and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment Self starter and soft people skills needed to interact with other internal work groups BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in completing material comparisons and golden production samples based on feedback from Manufacturing Support and Product Engineering Identify and evaluate correctness and accuracy of quotes and compare to requests Assists in coordinating metrics of on time and completeness of estimate and specs requests Provides support to Manufacturing Support and Product Engineering by scrubbing database errors and updates fields accordingly Generate Global Trade Item Numbers and UPCs Work with purchasing, marketing and manufacturing support to review findings of cost comparisons Assist in creating and revising specifications to clarify make method of various finished goods items Work with packaging specialist to clarity golden samples and update TOPS diagram and specifications Correct data fields for mass changes to materials within the specification database for components and finished goods About Us You know our brands.
