ABX Air is a U.S.-based airline specializing in express air cargo delivery and logistics services for a growing number of U.S. and international customers. Headquartered in Wilmington, Ohio with several additional locations throughout the U.S., ABX Air provides comprehensive airlift capacity, sort facility staffing, flight support and charter services, components, package handling and a wide range of maintenance and training services for a wide range of customers. ABX Air is a wholly owned subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (ATSG). About ABX Air, Inc. ABX Air is an FAR Part 121 cargo airline flying express cargo routes for customers in the U.S. and around the world. ABX Air also offers a variety of airline-related training, including dispatch training, flight training, and simulator time. Formed in 1980, ABX Air grew rapidly to become part of the third largest air express company in the US. A subsidiary of Airborne Express, the airline flew all the freight for them as well as managed the process of sorting millions of pieces of freight each day. Because it operated out of the only privately owned air cargo airport in the world, ABX Air also maintained the airport and developed a state-of-the-art aircraft maintenance operation. Diversifying and taking advantage of skills developed over the decades, ABX Air now provides contract service for many customers in several capacities. Sticking to its core skill, ABX Air flies express cargo routes for DHL and Amazon, among other customers. Aircraft not deployed in dedicated service for customers fly charter routes out of bases in Cincinnati, Ohio and Miami, Florida. Keeping an airline flying and the airport open and operational in any weather is a tall task. ABX Air has an experienced and dedicated workforce that allows it to excel at keeping it commitments to customers.
