ABOUT YOU is one of the fastest-growing eCommerce startups in Europe. The company was founded in 2014, since then it already got to the place of being the second-largest fashion e-commerce retailer in Europe - being live in 26 countries, reaching a company valuation of 1 billion $ in 2019 and IPOed in 2021 with a net revenue of 1.17 billion in 2020/21. ABOUT YOU is a fashion online shop, but we are a tech company first. More than 20% of our employees are developers. Our 400 tech employees originally from 55 different nations ensure that we keep our > 26 million app installs up to date and our over 30 million active users per month happy. When dealing with each other, we believe in flat hierarchies and open and honest communication. We don’t cling to a certain idea. New information leads to new decisions, which we are open to. ABOUT REMOTE WORK Starting in September 2021, we are offering developers, lead developers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers the opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in the EU. In addition, we recently opened Tech Hubs for the aforementioned positions in Zagreb (Croatia) and Cluj-Napoca (Romania) and are planning to open a Tech Hub in Prague (Czech Republic). However, to keep up the ABOUT YOU culture and to allow everyone to get to know each other in person in order to benefit from each other’s skills and knowledge, we aim to host tech gatherings in Hamburg several times a year. For all other functions, we adopted a hybrid working model moving forward, with office days from Tuesdays to Thursdays and the possibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
