Job Title: Facilities Services Manager Contracted Hours: Full Time Salary: £35,000.00 per annum plus benefits Location: William Harvey Hospital with some Ad Hoc travel across the Trust Access to own car is essential About the Role We are currently recruiting an experienced Facilities Services Manager who will have overall operational responsibility as the main interface and point of contact for our Portering, Waste, Post room & Reception/Security services at The William Harvey Hospital. We are looking for an experienced Facilities Services Manager who has a hands on approach when needed but the main responsibilities include managing a large team of staff and team leaders on a 24/7 service to ensure that patients, materials and equipment are safely and appropriately transferred around the hospital to the standards required by East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust, and managing customer expectations. The Facilities Services Manager will be responsible for the formation and updating of policies and procedures within their scope ensuring high quality service delivery. As our Facilities Services Manager you will support the Head of Facilities Solutions in setting the annual budget requirements, overall expenditure and identifying overspends and act as Deputy for the Head of Facilities Solutions as required. This role will also be part of the On Call out of hours team and will be required to work weekends and nights when necessary. About you: We are looking for candidates with the following skills and attributes: Minimum two years’ experience in managing portering services in a large public organisation ideally the care environment Minimum 2 years’ experience in managing Facilities Helpdesk and Switchboard services. Experience of having managed or having been responsible for a delegated large budget The previous management of a large team of staff including a responsibility for absence, performance, recruitment and performance etc or having a regular involvement at a supervisory level Practical experience of conducting quality audits to monitor client/ customer satisfaction Knowledge of the safe use of equipment and systems following guideline of HACCP IT literate – Microsoft Office Knowledge of fire safety regulations Knowledge of lifting and handling procedures Why work for us? 2gether Support Solutions is a new, wholly owned subsidiary company of one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the UK, East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
