2G Energy Ltd are looking for a Marketing Assistant 2G Energy Ltd is a 100% subsidiary of 2G Energy AG, an internationally leading manufacturer of combined and heat and power plants (CHP) for the decentralised provision of power and heat. The portfolio includes plants with an electrical output of 20 to 2,000 kW. Since it was founded in 1995, 2G has commissioned more than 6,000 plants worldwide and over 300 in the UK Location · The UK Office is based near Runcorn, Cheshire. · The role will be office based but may involve travel in UK, e.g. exhibitions, and occasionally the head office in Germany for training or business support. Duties include · Supporting Sales with the production of marketing material and literature, such as web content, brochures, press releases, etc. · Help organise and attend events, exhibitions and seminars · Help organise written and video case studies for CHP projects · Interfacing with 2G head office in Germany for support and compliance on all marketing activities · Interfacing with other departments, e.g. Projects, Service, for marketing support · Help manage client database in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system, e.g. the creation of e-mail shots. Desirable experience · A minimum of 1 years’ practical experience in a marketing or sales related role in a technical/complex product area is desirable, but an academic background in sales/marketing would also be considered. · Experience in using social media for marketing/sales activities · Ability to understand key features and benefits of complex technical products and portray these in an effective way. · The role has the potential to develop into a more senior role as the company grows and other opportunities for the right client who has the necessary aptitude and desire to develop and progress. Ideal Candidate · Sales/Marketing background (academic and/or practical experience) · Highly computer literate, in particular with social media · Must be a flexible team player and willing to adapt and respond as the role requires. · Must be self-motivated, willing to work independently (with support initially) and with a desire to learn and develop · Good verbal and written communication skills as the candidates will need the ability to build relationships with a wide range of people · Ability to work with a wide range of people at different levels, e.g. technical, projects and sales 2G staff.
