An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced HR Manager to lead our site HR Team at our Batley bakery. The Batley HR team covers approximately 850 employees rising to 1400 during the seasonal peak. The HR Manager has 5 direct reports with another 6 in direct reports and has full HR Overhead budget control (including labour +3 rd party contracts). As member of the sites Senior leadership team, the HR Manager is responsible for constantly reviewing and improving the activities of the HR function to ensure continued support and contribution to delivery of the site, functional and divisional strategy, in line with Company policy, legislation and best practice. The HR Manager will build the performance and capability of individuals and teams through the provision of appropriate resource, systems, development activity and processes. Along with manage and co-ordinate all HR activity across the sites, working with the site Leadership Team, ensure that positive employee relations are maintained and development needs are identified and met effectively. If you feel it’s time to play in the big leagues – step up to the plate…and try not to crumble… This is where you come in… As the HR Manager you will develop and deliver the Site HR Strategy to achieve functional, divisional and group objectives, where you will lead and deliver Divisional projects and initiatives. Working with other Bakery HR Managers, you will develop local HR Policy and Procedure in line with best practice and legislative requirements. You will be involved in site cross-functional continuous improvement teams and functional network groups. The HR Manager will coordinate all of the resourcing activity at site, along with coordinate the Performance Management system at site level. Coach and advise Senior Managers through the Performance Management / OCR / Development Planning Process. To be successful in this role the HR Manager will have extensive business partnering skills and excellent stakeholder management skills, you will develop maintain proactive working relationships with TU Representatives and Regional Officials. Along with being able to drive and support the site retailer ethical agenda including Stronger Together. This is a senior management position and experience of leading teams is essential in being successful for this position as you will lead, develop, coach and motivate the HR team including OH. Demonstrate clear leadership through networking with other HR professionals within Bakery Division and 2 Sisters. You will build and maintain positive relationships and ensure good communications are maintained across the site.
