1st Technologies 1st Technologies is a leading UK distributor of refurbished business-class IT equipment and we are actively looking to recruit a tech-savvy online Product Manager to join a well-established and growing business based in Ribchester. Your role As a Product Manager, you will report to the Head of Ecommerce and be responsible for the product marketing of Desktop, Laptop and Server computers, you should be familiar with the variety of components and how they are compatible with one another. You will be a self-motivated and intelligent individual with a keen knowledge and interest in IT Hardware who can keep up with trends in the refurbished IT hardware market; monitoring competitor pricing and strategy’s whilst producing high-quality product listings with technically accurate and Prconcise information across all eCommerce platforms (eBay, Amazon and our own Magento web store). Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Design and create new product advertisements across multiple eCommerce platforms with detailed technical information and clean, attractive, SEO optimised layout Identify alternative products and system configurations to market, and potential new marketing techniques Track performance of key products and categories against both general market trends and competitors Actively manage each product category and ensuring that our product placement in search results and product exposure through sufficient advertisements is sufficient Optimise product listings for search optimisation and product placement with an understanding of keywords Monitor sales progress regularly to identify and expand on successful strategies Liaise with inventory and purchasing teams for newly available stock to advertise The candidate we’re looking for You should be able to demonstrate solid commercial acumen and be comfortable working with large sets of data. The ideal candidate will have a history of working with computers and computer components, experience of eCommerce platforms (specifically Magento, eBay and Amazon) and an infectious drive to succeed in a sales and marketing environment. Essential Good understanding of computer hardware Keen commercial awareness and sales-driven business acumen Experience with multi-channel eCommerce operations including; eBay and Amazon Completely software literate (Microsoft Office, Web applications) and strong typing skills (50wpm+) Background in product management, product marketing or technical content creation Minimum of 2 years work experience Desirable Degree in marketing, computer science or similar Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar ERP experience Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and computer programming Experience with graphic design, image processing and Photoshop Experience with Magento and M2E Pro Experience working with cross-platform data synchronisation of large and complex product data sets Personal Requirements High degree of professional integrity and commitment Logic-based, analytical mind-set Self-motivated with an enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude Well rounded, reasoned communicator - not prone to rash judgements or decisions Strong organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, complete tasks without supervision and meet deadlines A keen eye for detail What we can offer you Highly competitive salary + company-wide incentive scheme 40 hours per week (full-time), Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm 30 days’ holiday including public holidays Pension scheme Onsite parking Learning and career development Well-being and support initiatives Fully equipped canteen Company social events Cycle to work scheme If you have all the above requirements and like the sound of our company then please apply now by sending your CV and cover letter.
