Why we are here We believe that every person and every client is unique. We all have our own drivers, passions and reasons for looking for a new role. Some people are striving for work life balance, others are craving a new challenge whilst a few want a fresh start. There is no hard and fast rule when it comes to recruitment but what we do know is that everyone wants to be happy at work, whatever form that comes in. Our Story 1492 was founded by our directors, Jordan Dudley and Carl Boslem, who believed there was a better way of doing recruitment. Having recruited for businesses of all shapes and sizes for many years they realised that consistently great recruitment is the result of thorough process and a deep knowledge and understanding of the market and people. Away from the meaningless KPIs, pointless processes, and hard sell approach, they wanted a business that would focus solely on what really matters – people and results. Our Basic Principles We don’t believe in a hard sell approach. We think that the best way to conduct business is through awareness, building relationships and adding value to the process. We aim to continuously improve. The world is constantly changing and so we have to as well. We are consistently investing in training and development, technology and internal processes. We want to demonstrate that recruitment can be a positive experience. We work to a KPI of providing feedback to 100% of our candidates in the process. If someone has taken the time out to explore one of our opportunities, we will make sure we take the time to reply. We aim to communicate as much as possible, with both clients and candidates. Every person deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. This is relevant for candidates, clients and for anyone we come in to contact with. We like to treat people how we would want to be treated as we have been on both sides of the fence. Our service We work with SME Manufacturing and Engineering companies to provide a tailored recruitment solution for any role they need to appoint with a particular expertise in board, technical and hard-to-find appointments. With thousands of recruitment projects completed over 15 years we can successfully match clients and candidates to their perfect opportunity. We combine this knowledge with an outstanding service derived from the commitment, dedication and hard work that we put in. We focus our attention not only on the ability and attitude of a candidate but also whether they would be the right fit. We have an unwavering commitment to advising and consulting our candidates and clients honestly. This understanding of people means looking beyond what is stated on a CV or job description but understanding the bigger picture, understanding business, and most importantly understanding people.
